Executive & Leadership Board

The Executive Board serves as the principal decision-making body, providing strategic guidance, oversight, and leadership to ensure the organization’s mission and goals are effectively carried out. Executive members are responsible for high-level planning, policy development, resource mobilization, and organizational governance. They play a critical role in driving key initiatives, representing the organization publicly, and ensuring accountability and transparency at all levels.

The Afghan National Coalition empowers, uplifts Afghan leaders and diaspora across the United States to advocate for their rights, well-being, and advancement. Through collaboration, cultural preservation, and community engagement, we strive to foster integration, amplify voices, and drive meaningful change in social, economic, and political spheres.

A unified network committed to empowering Afghan communities across the U.S. through advocacy, leadership, and collaboration. It serves as a resource hub that brings together organizations with shared values and missions to work collectively toward common goals.

Afghan Policy Advocacy Committee

The Afghan Policy Advocacy Committee will represent Afghanistan’s interests and the Afghan community, aiming to influence U.S. policies that promote peace, stability, human rights, and development in Afghanistan and mobilize support opportunities for the Afghan Community here in the US.

Afghan Faith Committee

The Afghan Faith Committee is dedicated to promoting cultural and religious values within Muslim communities, with a focus on fostering unity, spiritual growth, and cultural preservation. Through advocacy, education, and community engagement, the committee works collaboratively with ECBOs (Ethnic Community-Based Organizations), Islamic centers, and faith-based communities to strengthen identity, uplift voices, and support meaningful dialogue across generations.

Support Group

Afghan Health & Well-being Committee 

Committed to addressing healthcare disparities and improving health outcomes within the Afghan community in the U.S. and abroad. This committee will focus on increasing access to culturally competent healthcare, promoting health education, advocating for mental and physical well-being, and collaborating with healthcare professionals and sports institutions to meet urgent health needs.

Afghan Education Committee 

Dedicated to enhancing educational access, equity, and opportunities for the Afghan community. This committee will focus on promoting literacy, academic advancement, and lifelong learning through advocacy, mentorship, scholarships, and partnerships with schools and institutions. It aims to support both youth and adults in pursuing education as a path to empowerment and integration. Chaired by Fereshteh.

Afghan Leadership & Empowerment Committee 

The primary purpose of this committee is to provide leadership, advocacy, and support to the Afghan community in the U.S. Its members work to address community needs, amplify their voices, and enhance their rights and opportunities through collaboration with government bodies, nonprofits, and the public.

Advisory Circle

Our advisory board comprises a group of expert Afghan leaders who provide non-binding strategic advice, guidance, and insights to an organization or project, helping it grow, improve, and effectively achieve its mission.

Alliance circle

A collaborative network of non-Afghan-led but Afghan-serving organizations across the U.S. that come together with shared values and a unified vision to advocate, lead, and work collectively for the empowerment, inclusion, and advancement of Afghan communities through strategic partnership, coordination, and collective impact.

Emeritus Board

A group of distinguished leaders who have made significant contributions and been actively engaged in Afghan-related matters, such as military service, veterans affairs, legislation, government, education, sustainability, or volunteerism. They serve in an honorary capacity, offering wisdom, historical insight, support, and ongoing dedication to Afghanistan Matters.
